Internet Marketing Misconceptions for Success
A very common misconception amongst internet marketers is that success can be achieved with no sacrifice, that's with little time and no financial outlay! In fact, this couldn’t be more further from the truth! If you are an aspiring internet marketer, I will say now “expect to sacrifice both time and some money to make your online business work”.
It may not cost you a lot of money to set up your websites and strategies, but it will take time and persistence to succeed! I often say that the key to successful internet marketing is that you must be “consistently persistent” in all that you do; in other words you should continue to work hard on your business even when success appears a long way away. When people quit anything they do in life, it is always just before they’re about to succeed. Don’t you fall victim to this pattern, stick with it and become your own success!
Focus on continuing to build your business even when you run out of ideas, if you have an online business, your website should NEVER be complete! Why? Because you should always be creating new content for people to stumble across, and not to mention the all important search engines, which love active websites!
Think about how you visualise money in your mindset. If you spent $50 per month on advertising in your local newspaper, is that $50 you’re left without? Or is that $250 per month that you have to gain? Think about the positives instead of negatives; look at the benefits and what you have to gain by outlaying a little money, NOT what you have to lose! When you start seeing $50 per month spent as a positive, then you are on the right track!
But you might not have money to spend on your business? Okay, when I started out as an internet marketer for the first time, I was living on around $100 per week on government benefits, I was renting a small unit for $56 per week, and spent $30 per week on my business, yet I did not see the loss of $30 per week, I saw it as a way to get exposure to people who might be interested in my business, after months of consistent persistence, I came out on top. I was soon making $500 per week and was able to increase my expenditure to $100 per week, and guess what? The profits continued to rise!
It all begins in you mind, so stop worrying about what you don’t have and start believing in what you want to have, what you will have if you persist! You’re welcome to talk about this topic and more in our members’ forums!
Have a fantastic day, and the best to your success!
